BACKGROUND |

Based in Glasgow, Scotland
but working in the global market place Virtual Interconnect were launched
in 2004 out of the interconnect industry to take advantage of the
transition from 2D to 3D engineering design.
With a long established background in harness manufacturing, but faced
with increasingly fierce competition from the low labour rate economies,
Virtual Interconnect personnel were forced to critically re-appraise
and redesign their own Wire Harness Design process.
Virtual Interconnect was developed as a knowledge based engineering
company with the aim of combining traditional engineering skills and
computerised processes to exploit the emergence of “whole product”modelling
and translate wire harness design onto a more professional level.
We work closely with local universities on research collaboration
projects and process development. |
