In a full 3D process, the virtual harness prototype is designed to update automatically as the mechanical design evolves, allowing us to work remote from our customer's premises. Iterations can be removed from the design cycle as the virtual harness eliminates the need for a physical prototype secure in the knowledge that the harness will fit first time, further reducing costs.

With automated reporting and parameter extraction direct from the virtual harness, the Product Data Set (PDS), is generated. This typically consists of a manufacturing ready loom drawing with a full scale 2D view of the virtual harness which can be updated and regenerated almost instantaneously. The PDS can be tailored for harness vendor manufacturing requirements and customised to facilitate direct data download to wire processing machines or automatic porting to the OEM's PDM system.
